PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5/Gray News) - An Amber Alert for an infant who was allegedly taken by his mother in a duffel bag from an Arizona hospital was canceled after he was found safe.

Phoenix Police say the 5-day-old baby boy is back at the hospital and receiving the necessary medical treatment.

Authorities said the baby was taken from Valleywise Health Medical Center at around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday. The baby’s mother, 24-year-old Rosa Santana, was allegedly seen leaving the hospital with the baby in a duffel bag.

The newborn had a feeding tube attached.

Police say the baby’s mother is in custody.

The incident remains under investigation.
