Distracted driving dangers go beyond texting behind the wheel

(InvestigateTV) — Law enforcement officers and other first responders say they continue to encounter drivers on the road not yielding to emergency vehicles.

Our team in Wisconsin documented examples of drivers seemingly oblivious to an approaching vehicle with lights flashing and sirens blaring.

First responders said they believe in many cases this failure to move out of the way is due to distracted driving — and that distractions include more than just glancing at a screen or answering a call.
