COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV/Gray News) - A man was arrested in connection to a YouTube video featuring a motorcyclist driving from Colorado Springs to Denver in 20 minutes.

The Colorado State Patrol shared a video of the incident with the public in late January. In the video, the motorcyclist appears to hit speeds more than 150 miles per hour while “squeezing” through small gaps between vehicles, according to Colorado State Patrol.

The trip from the center of Colorado Springs to the south side of Denver is about 55 miles, which typically takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. This motorcyclist allegedly did it in 20.

“Illegal and reckless driving behavior will not be tolerated in Colorado,” stated Sergeant Troy Kessler, with the Colorado State Patrol’s Public Affairs Office. “We care too much for those traveling on our roadways to ignore the blatant disregard for the safety of others.”

Investigators identified the motorcyclist as 32-year-old Tyrell Dietzmann of Texas. A man with the same name appeared in jail records for Denton County, Texas, with a warrant out of El Paso County, Colorado.

Updated online court records for Dietzmann’s case stated he was detained this week.

Dieztmann faces several warrants, including menacing - placed another person in fear imminent serious bodily injury, engaging in speed content, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, speeding 40 mph over prima facie limit, engaging in exhibition of speed, and vehicle with no number plates attached.
