RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - A former Rapid City TV news anchor for KOTA and KNBN television and podcast host is arrested and charged with domestic violence.

The Meade County Sheriff’s Office says 51-year Shad Olson was arrested on Monday, charged with aggravated assault-domestic violence. As of this Friday afternoon, Olson was being held in the Meade County Jail on $5,000 bond.

According to the probable cause affidavit in the case, Olson is accused of grabbing a woman’s shoulders and throwing her to the floor four or five times and chasing her from her house.

Olson made his initial court appearance on Tuesday, and he is scheduled to be arraigned in the case on Feb. 21.
