Breezy Weekend Ahead, Warmer to Start Next Week
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) -
Clouds are going to continue to decrease throughout the beginning of the overnight hours. By the time we get to the early morning hours tomorrow, plenty of sunshine will be around and will stay that way for the entire day. A perfect end to the week with sunshine allowing for temperatures to get back into the upper 50s and maybe approach the 60 degree mark. Futurecast shows those clouds clearing out of the area by the time we get to the morning with sunshine likely sticking around for the entire day. That sunshine likely continues into the weekend with a few clouds possible heading into Sunday morning. Mostly sunny skies are expected to return for Sunday afternoon. Winds will be an issue this weekend with winds gusting over 30 mph Saturday morning with gusts exceeding 40 possible by the afternoon. Sunday, winds are gusting again up to 30 mph all day. Temperatures during the overnight hours make it into the 20s across the entire area as clouds continue to decrease. Tomorrow, the sunshine returns and we will have plenty of it. Temperatures manage to get above average for almost everywhere with a few spots getting into the low 60s by the late afternoon, while most of us stay in the upper 50s for highs. The next three days in NE Wyoming and the Northern Hills shows that temperatures take a dip into the weekend as breezy conditions take over. Sunshine will remain out and about for all. Rapid City also seeing lots of that sunshine over the course of the next 7 days with temperatures in the 40s on Sunday, but right back to the 60s on Monday and Tuesday.
