RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) -

Overnight, heavy and wet snow is likely as we see temperatures stay below freezing. Tomorrow, snow clears out of the area by the time we get to lunchtime but temperatures are going to stay fairly cold. Futurecast is showing the snow starting to steadily fall around 9 tonight and continue through the entire night. Those might linger through the morning hours and we are going to see clearing by the time we get to tomorrow night. Sunny skies are going to dominate the forecast this week. However, the snow tonight is likely going to pile up. 3 to 6 inches of snow likely tonight in and around the Black Hills. The further north and further west you go, the lower the totals. Temperatures overnight tonight will drop into the 20s across the entire area with heavy and wet snow likely. Highest snow totals will likely be in the Black Hills region. 3 to 6 inches possible in Rapid City. Tomorrow, morning snow showers in the morning turn cloudy throughout the afternoon. The next three days in NE Wyoming and the Northern Hills shows a large warm up with a 70 degree temperature in Sheridan by Wednesday. The next 7 days in Rapid City is showing that temperatures will flirt with the 70 degree mark both Thursday and Friday in town before breezy conditions take over by the time we get to next weekend. Rain is looking possible to finish off next weekend.
