Monday marked the 144th annual White House Easter Egg Roll
WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - An estimated 40 thousand people rolled through the White House south lawn Monday, for the 144th annual Easter Egg roll.
This year’s theme was “Egg-ducation.”
It was picked the teacher herself - First Lady Dr. Jill Biden.
While learning was front and center - some had other things on their mind.
“My favorite part was getting all of the treats back there in all the candy,” said 10 year old Zoran.
The Marine Corps band provided the sound track for the day -
Along with a High School marching band from Clayton County, Georgia.
The American Egg board laid down the estimated 64 thousand eggs used in the roll itself.
President Biden gave a message of hope.
“Easter reminds us of the power of hope and renewal of sacrifice and resurrection, but mainly love and grace,” said Biden.
