RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Plenty of sunshine is on tap to wrap up the weekend. A few clouds develop in the afternoon hours with daytime heating. There will be a slight breeze with gusts up to 30 mph possible at times. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s.

Monday will remain warm with 60s and 70s likely for many. It will stay breezy with gusts up to 35 mph likely. Afternoon storms will develop across the area, especially in western and central South Dakota. That moisture will stick around Monday night into Tuesday morning before tapering off and moving out of the area.

Tuesday will be very windy with gusts up to 60 mph or higher likely. Temperatures will be in the 50s to near 60° for many. Expect windy conditions to linger for much of the week.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be cooler as high temperatures will be in the 40s for many. It does look like warmer air will return late next weekend and that following week.
