RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - We will see variably cloudy skies today with a few showers this morning, mainly south of I-90. Breezy, cooler conditions can also be expected with northwest winds 15 to 25 miles per hour, with gusts to 45 miles per hour over the plains. A Wind Advisory is in effect today for the plains north and east of Rapid City.

The rest of the week will feature cooler, unsettled weather with periods of scattered showers. No heavy precipitation is expected, but there will be showers at times through Friday night. Highs will be lower: mainly lower 50s Thursday and Friday.

Much warmer air returns this weekend with 70s Sunday. Early next week will be warm with a few thunderstorms possible on Monday.
