Police respond to stabbing in north Rapid City
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - One person is in the hospital after being stabbed Wednesday night.
Rapid City Police responded to reports of a fight near the 1200 block of Atlas Street around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. When they arrived, police found a person had been stabbed. That person was then taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.
Police say while investigating the incident, they received information that a potential suspect fled into a nearby church. Police ultimately found the suspect Tyler Goodcrow, 22, of Rapid City hiding in a back room of the church where he was detained and transported to the Pennington County Jail.
Goodcrow was charged with aggravated assault.
