3 children killed in apparent murder-suicide after mom let ex-husband take them to get food, police say
TUCKER, Ga. (WANF/Gray News) - Three children were killed in what police believe is a murder-suicide after their mom agreed to let her ex-husband take them to get something to eat, according to authorities in Georiga.
Gwinnett County Police said 13-year-old Arianny Rodriguez, 11-year-old Chadal Rodriguez and 9-year-old Carlos Rodriguez were found dead.
The man identified as 56-year-old Jose Plasencia is the suspect in the shooting, according to police.
WANF reported that Plasencia was the mother’s ex-husband.
He was also the biological father of the woman’s 6-year-old child, who had to be taken to the hospital when they fell off their bike.
Plasencia allegedly showed up and became aggressive, but eventually offered to take the other three children to get something to eat.
Authorities said hours later, they discovered the car parked. That’s when police found the four bodies inside the car.
The children’s mother said she’s devastated and her heart is in pieces, according to a GoFundMe page.
“My world was my children and I was mother and father to them so that they never lacked anything,” she said.
According to the fundraising page, she’s asking for assistance with the funerals of her ‘little angels.’
