Turning warmer today!
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Today we’ll see high clouds from time to time but no significant precipitation is expected. It will be warmer with highs in the 70s.
Friday will be the warmest day of the forecast with highs climbing into the mid 80s in Rapid City. While it will be sunny in the morning through the middle of the day, a few afternoon storms will be possible, mainly in northwest South Dakota. Strong, gusty winds will will be possible with any isolated storm that might form.
Temperatures will fall into the 60s and 70s on Saturday under sunny skies, but it will get warmer on Sunday with highs near 80°. A few afternoon storms will be possible to close out the weekend.
Cooler air is likely next week with temperatures near to below average, with many days in the 60s. Scattered showers are expected through much of next week as well.
