Showers and wind in the forecast through tonight; clearing on Friday.
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Cloud cover will vary from partly to mostly cloudy today with temperatures in the 50s across Wyoming, 60s for much of South Dakota and a few 70s out toward the Badlands.
Rain will be likely near Sheridan much of Thursday, with isolated showers possible elsewhere, mainly in the afternoon and evening hours. Best chance for storms will be in central and far northwest South Dakota. Strong, gusty winds develop tonight near the Hills. Wind Advisories are in effect for the I-90 corridor, including Rapid City where gusts over 45 mph can be expected tonight.
Any remaining moisture Thursday night will taper off by Friday morning and skies will become sunny to end the week.
Highs will be in the 60s for many on Friday and the 60s are expected to continue into Memorial Day weekend. While temperatures will stay just below average, showers will be possible, mainly Saturday and Sunday. Monday, Memorial Day, will be sunny with highs in the lower 70s.
Temperatures will turn much warmer the rest of next week with 70s and 80s likely for many. It should be generally sunny and pretty dry.
