Very warm today; cooler Tuesday.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Today will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy and very warm. Look for highs in the 80s, which is well above normal for this time of year.

A cold front moves through KOTA Territory tonight and Tuesday. Some isolated showers are possible, and wind will get rather gusty behind the front, especially on Tuesday. That front will usher in somewhat cooler air with highs Tuesday in the 70s.

The rest of the week will be warmer with highs in the 80s by Thursday and Friday.

We will be warm this weekend with isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms possible with highs in the upper 70s.
