Keep cool with HVAC preparations
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - In the heat of the summer, HVAC owners want to ensure their cooling system is working. Without proper care, systems won’t work as intended.
HVAC contractors are working to prepare for the heat of the season, ensuring they have enough equipment on hand for emergency repairs and keeping service vans stocked for any basic wear and tear replacements.
Brad Madsen, owner of Complete HVAC, has some tips for homeowners to keep their houses cool.
“Make sure your air filter on your furnace is clean. I would check that once a month during the summer, if that’s at all dirty, just replace that. The outdoor unit, the air conditioning portion that sits outside, make sure that condenser is clean,” Madsen said.
Madsen said to keep the thermostat set at a consistent temperature and if any problems arise, give a service provider a call.
