Windy and mild today

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Today will be windy. A High Wind Warning is in effect for Carter and Harding Counties from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Gusts up to 60 mph will be likely at times. Across the western South Dakota plains along and north of I-90, a Wind Advisory is in place for the same time frame. Gusts up to 50 mph will be likely at times. This does not include Rapid City or Spearfish.

Temperatures will be in the 70s for many with plenty of sunshine later today after some morning cloudiness.

Warm high pressure builds in from the west tomorrow. Highs will climb into the 80s for many to end the week. By the weekend, highs will drop back down into the 70s with partly cloudy skies.

There might be a storm or two in southwest South Dakota Saturday, with more widespread storms possible Monday.
