Lacrosse St. closed for repairs on railroad crossings
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Starting Monday, June 10, sections of Lacrosse Street are closed for construction. The repairs are being made by the Rapid City, Pierre, and Eastern Railroad to fix parts of the tracks and asphalt and the rough crossing.
Rapid City communications coordinator Darrell Shoemaker says this is a welcome update.
“Anyone who’s traveled that over the last string of several months knows that that’s an area that needs, uh considerable repairs.” Shoemaker said.
People who normally take Lacrosse Street can still get where they’re going by using side streets between East Adams Street and Van Buren. These repairs are set to be completed by Friday, June 14.
