Juvenile arrested after shots fired at house near MacArthur Street
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - Reports of gunshots on the 100 block of MacArthur Street kept Rapid City Police busy Thursday morning.
Officers arrived at the scene at approximately 4 a.m. after multiple reports of gunshots were heard in the area.
At the scene, they discovered multiple shell casings on the road. No one was injured, however, bullet holes were found in one house.
Officers found a juvenile who attempted to run away but was later caught and arrested, saying he had a handgun in his possession.
Police have identified him as the suspect.
“It’s still under investigation. We’re still working through it to figure out a motive to figure out if it’s related to anything else. Yeah, we’re still working through it. Just because we made the arrest doesn’t mean the investigation is over,” RCPD Captain Christian Sigel said.
