More storms possible tonight. Temperatures cooler than average.
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - A few morning showers will give way to variably cloudy skies the rest of the day. Temperatures will be cooler than average with highs in the 60s to near 70 degrees.
Another strong upper level disturbance will move northeast from Wyoming and Montana tonight. Several bands of thunderstorms are likely, with a few producing large hail. The most numerous storms will be in northeast Wyoming, northwest South Dakota then east of Rapid City later on.
Below normal temperatures and dry conditions are likely Tuesday into Wednesday.
Several more chances of much-needed moisture arrive Thursday and Friday, lingering on Saturday before a hot and dry weather pattern sets in Sunday into early next week.
