RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Cloudy skies stick around for much of western South Dakota today. A few isolated showers will be possible at times and highs will be in the 60s for many due to the lack of sunshine. In northeast Wyoming, There will be plenty of sunshine by midday and into the afternoon hours, which will help temperatures climb into the 70s for many.

Friday is mostly cloudy for everyone. Isolated showers and storms will be in the forecast with the best chance being in the afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures will range from the 60s to the lower 70s for many as we close out the week. A few severe storms will be possible Friday, especially in northeast Wyoming and toward the Nebraska border.

Warmer air builds over the weekend as highs will climb into the 80s for many. Some spots may flirt with 90° by Sunday. Plenty of sunshine is expected both days with the chance for a stray storm around the Black Hills Saturday afternoon.

Highs will be in the 80s and 90s for much, if not all, of next week.
