Rapid City again offering 2 pool promotions for quick relief from hot temps
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) - This story has been updated to reflect the actual price for the Splash & Dash promotion.
Hot temperatures are forecasted to return as early as Sunday. City Parks and Recreation officials remind the public to take advantage of two special promotions at city pools this summer.
The special features at the three city pools include a Splash & Dash special on Mondays through Saturdays, offering a $5 entrance fee from 5 to 6 p.m., at the Jimmy Hilton, Parkview, and Horace Mann parks only. Also, Sundays are designated as ‘Funday 4 Sunday’ with a group of four admitted for $12. Each additional person in the group is charged the regular admission cost of $7. The ‘Funday 4 Sunday’ special promotion also applies to the Roosevelt Swim Center.
“We’ve experienced cooler-than-normal temperatures this past week but the weather is forecasted to heat up,” said City Aquatics Program Specialist Teaghan Slagle. “With the return of warmer temperatures, city pools can provide quick relief. Our two pool promotions are a great way to stop by after work or bring in the family for some fun and to cool off.”
