HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF/Gray News) – One of the stars of the cult classic movie, “The Sandlot,” entered a guilty plea Monday after being charged earlier in the month with assault.

Public index records show Thomas Guiry, who played Scotty Smalls and who is the namesake of the quote “You’re killing me, Smalls,” pleaded guilty Monday morning to third-degree assault and battery, malicious injury to personal property, and public disorderly conduct.

Public records indicate the public disorderly conduct charge was added to his case on Friday.

The charges stem from a case in early June where officers in South Carolina were called for a disturbance call.

Officers learned that Guiry damaged his neighbor’s Jeep with a 35-pound dumbbell weight.

A judge sentenced Guiry to time already served. He had spent one day in jail before bonding out.
