ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU/Gray News) – A motorcyclist in Indiana died in a crash with an Amazon semitrailer Wednesday night.

Investigators believe the 35-year-old driver of the semitrailer was trying to make a U-turn when the motorcyclist hit the trailer.

The motorcycle driver, 29-year-old Tyler Lee Smith, was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The semitrailer driver was not hurt in the crash and is reportedly cooperating with police.

The crash remains under investigation by the St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team
