6-year-old boy in handcuffs attacked by pit bull

ASHLAND COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO/Gray News) - A 6-year-old boy restrained with handcuffs was attacked by a pit bull in Ohio, according to authorities.
The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a call about a pit bull biting a child Saturday evening.
When deputies arrived, the 6-year-old boy was in serious condition and flown to the hospital.
The child was restrained with handcuffs on his hands and feet when he was attacked, according to authorities.
Officials said the dog and its owner were found hiding in a cubbyhole when deputies executed a search warrant. The dog was taken into custody as a vicious dog.
The investigation is ongoing.
