Chick-fil-A opens its first elevated drive-thru
STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. (WANF/Gray News) - Chick-fil-A has opened its first elevated drive-thru in Georgia.
The new location in Stockbridge, a city in the metro Atlanta area, started serving guests Thursday.
The elevated drive-thru features four lanes and an elevated kitchen with “a unique meal transport system.”
The company said this new system allows for a meal to be delivered to employees every six seconds.
Company leaders said the concept was designed to increase the speed of service and simplify the drive-thru experience for guests.
“Our guests lead busy lives, and we’re focused on designing our restaurants to best serve their needs,” Chick-fil-A Executive Director of Design Jonathan Reed said in a statement. “With the new elevated drive-thru design, featuring our first four-lane drive-thru, we’re aiming to deliver quality food and genuine hospitality in a way that’s uniquely Chick-fil-A, and gives our guests time back in their day.”
Customers will be able to order their meals ahead through the Chick-fil-A App and pick them up using the dedicated Mobile Thru lanes. They can also place their order with an employee in the traditional drive-thru lanes.
Located at 2155 Jodeco Road, the location will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
