Good Samaritans lift vehicle off of pedestrian after traffic accident

SOMERVILLE, Mass. (Gray News) – Officials in Massachusetts are praising a group of good Samaritans who stepped up to help after a traffic accident Friday.

The Somerville Police Department made a Facebook post saying the bystanders jumped into action after a car accident left a pedestrian trapped underneath a vehicle.

The group of people can be seen in the distance of a traffic camera lifting the vehicle off the pedestrian before setting it down several feet away.

The police department said the quick, selfless actions of the bystanders made all the difference and helped save the person’s life.

“Moments like these remind us of the strong community spirit we have in Somerville,” the department said.
