Mother and her three young daughters found dead in a home, police say
WOLCOTTVILLE, Ind. (WPTA/Gray News) - Authorities have identified a woman and three children found dead inside an Indiana home Tuesday.
The Indiana State Police said officers with the Wolcottville Police Department were called to the Wolcottville home for a welfare check around 11:20 a.m.
The responding officers reportedly found a woman and three children dead inside the home.
The department then contacted state police, and detectives and crime scene investigators were sent to the location.
Police said there was no threat to the public, but provided no further information at the time.
On Wednesday, the Noble County Coroner identified the victims as 32-year-old Rebecca Hughes, 8-year-old Evalynn Newell, 6-year-old Allison Newell and 5-year-old Amelia Newell.
The cause and manner of death of the victims are still being investigated.
A memorial has been steadily growing outside of the family’s home on Wednesday.
A GoFundMe has also been created to help loved ones cover funeral costs.
