Man claims second $500,000 Lucky for Life prize
WASHINGTON D.C. (Gray News) – A man in Washington D.C. was lucky enough to win the lottery not just once, but twice.
According to the DC Lottery, Phillip H. claimed the second of his two winning Lucky for Life prizes from the August 12 drawing.
He claimed his first $25,000 A Year for Life prize, with a value of $500,000, soon after the drawing.
The Lottery said Phillip kept quiet about the second winning ticket because he was unable to find it.
More than a month later, he returned with his newfound ticket to claim his second prize.
Phillip said his winning strategy including always selecting his numbers and buying two tickets
He told the Lottery he would use his winnings to pay for home renovations and to buy a new truck to help with his volunteer efforts.
