Digital Reporter/Producer
Nolin Ainsworth

Nolin is a digital content producer/reporter at Alaska’s News Source.

Nolin graduated in 2016 from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Public Communication.

His journalism studies began in 2014 in Fairbanks, when he decided to give college a second try. In a sunlit classroom in UAF’s Bunnell Building, Nolin learned the basics of reporting and enjoyed the curiosity and creativity that went into the craft.

In his first “real” journalism job at the Juneau Empire, Nolin placed second for the Gatehouse Media’s Sports Writer of the Year. He covered Juneau high school teams all around the state, including Ketchikan and Sitka for the Region V Basketball Tournament, one of his favorite assignments as a sports reporter.

Nolin’s interests include uplifting movies, running, basketball, exploring Alaska’s vast wilderness and spending time with family. He can’t believe “The College Dropout” by Kanye West is already 20 years old.
