Sunday is an Arizona native who attended college at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. While at NAU, she was the news editor of The Lumberjack newspaper, and an anchor, producer, and reporter for the local television station, NAZ Today.

She continued her education at Colorado State University in Fort Collins receiving her M.S. degree in Public Communication and Technology. While in grad school, she was the executive producer of CTV Channel 11, the student-run television station. She also taught undergraduate course in videography and visual communication.

Sunday is an avid rock climber, 5K runner, and yoga teacher in training. She enjoys immersing herself in the community, as well as exploring the natural wonders the Black Hills has to offer.
