James Felton

James Felton is a general assignment news reporter. He joined the WNEM TV5 news team in 2005 as chief photographer.

James began reporting in 2011 and he shoots, writes, and edits most of his stories. He enjoys getting the chance to meet people and tell their stories here in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Before joining WNEM, James was a photojournalist at WTVD-TV in Raleigh-Durham, NC. His career started as a photojournalist at WOTV-TV in Battle Creek, MI. James attended Northern Michigan University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Broadcasting.

James is an avid runner. You can find him most mornings pounding the pavement in Saginaw Township logging miles for his next big race. James and his wife have two children and are proud to call Michigan home.
