Madeline Harden is an Assignment Desk Editor and Digital Content Producer for 19 News.
She returns after spending last summer as a news intern. Madeline is thrilled to be back reporting in her hometown.
She grew up in the West Park neighborhood of Cleveland where she attended Saint Joseph Academy.
She went on to follow family tradition in attending Ohio University.
While in college she wrote and edited for The New Political where one of her investigative pieces placed in the 2023-2024 Hearst Intercollegiate Multimedia Competition and another was recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists with a regional Mark of Excellence award in Feature Writing.
She was also awarded a scholarship by the White House Correspondents’ Association and attended the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in 2023.
In 2024, Madeline graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned a degree in journalism with a minor in political science.
She is honored to be back in Cleveland and joining the 19 News team, again.
When she isn’t in the newsroom, you can usually find Madeline at the movie theater or attempting to play tennis. News is her passion.
