Tamer Knight, originally from the Sunshine State (Florida) grew up in Houston, Texas, and joined the KSLA team in January of 2023. She attended Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, where she majored in sports management and minored in communications.
Tamer’s passion for sports and broadcast journalism led her to the University of Houston, where she obtained a masters of art in mass communications. She began her journalism career in 2017 covering professional and collegiate sports in Houston. In a short amount of time, she has held several positions in the broadcast journalism realm. Some of her most memorable moments are covering the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo and the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing with NBC Sports.
She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and an Emmy-winning associate producer.
In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym and eating good food.
