A Memorial Day service was held at Chapel in the Hills Monday evening, honoring our service men and women.

It's been a tradition for a few years now.

The service consisted of a presentation of colors, a presentation of wreaths from every war the U.S. has participated in, speakers, prayer, music, and a rifle salute.

Chaplain Herb Cleveland is a veteran himself, and hopes everyone remembers what this holiday is truly about.

"Respecting and building a real depth to our patriotism and our faith so that we'll support those who are being persecuted and go in to rescue those who are in danger and do that in the cause of what the United States stands for," Cleveland says.

The service concluded with the song "America the Beautiful" and a final blessing.
