Rising Star scholarship contest entry deadline nearing

We're just a week away from the entry deadline for this year's Rising Star of the West scholarship contest.

This year, $7,500 in scholarship money from Black Hills FOX and Granite Automotive will be up for grabs for Black Hills area high school students.

Again this year, we'll pick 20 students to come to our studio and tape one minute commentaries that we'll air on our news.

We'll get that group down to four finalists and they'll be back to compete for the scholarship money.

It's easy to enter, just send us a short video of yourself talking about anything important to you.
